The Food & Beverage (F&B) Director is in charge of overseeing the operations and services of the resort's dining venues, including Honeybelle, In-Room Dining, pool bar, Spa Café, and Market Place. They provide support and management to these outlets, collaborating closely with Outlet Managers, Assistant Outlet Managers, the Food and Beverage Director, and other resort departments.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Outlets at PGA National Resort:
- Plan and strategize for the short and long-term success of dining outlets such as Honeybelle, In-Room, and Pool dining
- Implement effective recruitment, training, development, and advancement strategies for all staff members
- Guide and mentor the team to deliver exceptional guest service and boost employee satisfaction levels
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of staff engagement and responsibility
- Contribute to innovative approaches to boost revenue, control costs, manage labor, and more
- Collaborate on setting budgets, marketing strategies, and goals, and ensure operations align with these plans
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional environment
- Organize and oversee special events and seasonal functions
- Show initiative in independently managing the outlets
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Possess or obtain Florida Food Handlers and Alcohol compliance certifications within 30 days of hire
Qualifications:
- Full-time Management role with flexibility in working day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- 3-5 years' experience in senior Food & Beverage Management within a resort setting
- Ability to anticipate and cater to the needs of guests in a fast-paced multi-outlet environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer usage, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems like Micros and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Deep knowledge of food and beverage, with expertise in wine, spirits, and beer
- Prior hotel experience managing multiple outlets and bars, along with a strong understanding of restaurant service
Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret and execute detailed instructions effectively and solve problems within set parameters.
Other Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Capable of multitasking and coordinating various responsibilities efficiently.
