Client Overview:

Our client an educational institution space is seeking a Grants Manager to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25 - $30/hr

Position Overview:

The Grants Manager will manage the grants process from pre to post award and will also provide budgetary oversight. This Grants Manager is a leadership position, and applicants should be comfortable working with minimal supervision and acting as a mentor to the team. This role is fully onsite Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm.

Responsibilities of the Grants Manager:
  • Prepare and submit detailed grant applications, ensuring they adhere to stringent grant specifications and guidelines
  • Manage all grant requirements and deadlines, maintaining thorough records of all pertinent information
  • Provide budgetary guidance to Project Managers and ensure proper allocation of grant funds
  • Work in collaboration with our finance team to manage budgets and expense reports associated with grants
  • Monitor grant-funded programs for compliance with the funding source's specifications and terms
  • Maintain open communication with grantors to provide progress reports and updates
  • Collaborate with school leadership and educational staff to understand current programs and future needs
Qualifications for the Grants Manager:
  • Minimum of three years of experience writing, securing, and managing grants, preferably in the education sector
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting, forecasting, and planning
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local grant funding sources and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in project management software and databases
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Education Requirements:
  • Associates degree is required
