Job Description

This position is a workforce industry generalist with a wide range of experience and knowledge across programs and jurisdictions.The Field Support Manager works collaboratively across multiple teams and departments to understand the business/project need, convey solutions, and champion and support embedding the Equus culture, practices, tools and resources. As a member of the service delivery team, support requests for technical assistance, virtual and on-site transition support, and activities requiring specific expertise or simply an all-hands-on-deck approach.

  • Create standardized action plans, process maps and standard operating procedures that support company standards and align with program operations to include customization for state and local requirements as needed.
  • Assist in the development of toolkits using Equus service delivery standards and methods.
  • Assist in the development of training materials related to program rules and regulations, local scope of work and company standards.
  • Stay abreast of various federal and state workforce and other relevant program policies and regulations, and develop new and/or update training materials, toolkits and standard operating procedure templates accordingly.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of staff training. These could include positions specific, program specific and broader leadership training curriculums.
  • Follow continuous quality Improvement guidelines and practices to consult with and assist under-performing projects.
  • Conduct operational assessments through thorough discovery methods, research, interviews, and observations resulting in a written assessment with clear recommendations for next actions.
  • Utilize operational assessments to develop customized implementation plans addressing all areas, such as operational design, staff training plans, standard operating procedures, leadership, performance, etc.
  • Organize, facilitate and support communities of practice (as assigned) providing frequent opportunities and creative and efficient methods for learning and sharing of best practices.
  • May conduct internal compliance and quality reviews of program operations and identify opportunities for improvement following CQI guidelines and practices.
  • Remain highly informed in assigned areas to ensure company compliance with requirements and to promote fresh, innovative approaches to enhance Equus' competitiveness.
  • Support efforts to retain and secure new business through participation in conferences, events, meetings, funder interactions, preparation of proposals and oral presentations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in the workforce services industry, having developed an excellent understanding of business processes, systems, and customer needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders across disciplines and at every level of an organization.
  • Experience and knowledge with multiple workforce programs.
  • Excellent analytical skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated proficiency in conveying complex, technical ideas to a general audience through writing and speaking.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%; may occasionally include evenings and weekends.
  • Intermediate or advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Driver's license and "good" driving record.
  • Reasonable access to an airport with multiple airlines to support easy access to markets nationally.

Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience as an Equus Project Director is preferred (knowledge of company culture, processes and the industry).
  • Multi-state exposure to workforce services.
  • Change Management experience; relevant certifications a big plus.
  • Background in program evaluation, including qualitative methods such as observations, focus groups, etc.
  • MS Planner, MS Project or other project management software experience a plus.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Sales experience.
  • Experience delivering training/workshops in live and virtual settings.
  • Natural ability to adapt to new settings and assignments quickly.
