About the Role
Dollar General is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field-Based Facility Maintenance Senior Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic thought leadership and tactical execution for capital projects within assigned operating divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multi-year capital strategies to drive sales, reduce expense, and address core maintenance needs.
- Identify, plan, and execute 100-125 capital projects annually, including HVAC replacements, parking lot replacements, exterior LED retrofits, and other facility upgrades.
- Drive spend efficiency through leveraging technical expertise in the development of processes for bid review, standardized SOWs, change order management, and real-time reporting.
- Participate in the development of zero-based capital budgets annually and re-forecast periodically.
- Oversee vendor management, including sourcing, KPI performance, quality control, administrative compliance, and issue escalation/resolution.
- Ensure vendors adhere to all Dollar General internal requirements, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
- Build productive and collaborative relationships with regional operation leadership to supplement the SSC's reactive repair call center.
- Provide strategic leadership and tactical support in the event of a major disaster event or emergency situation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in construction management, facilities maintenance, engineering preferred, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 10+ years of management experience in field-based facilities maintenance for a Fortune 500 company.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, advance facility maintenance/construction technical expertise, exceptional financial skills, and strong vendor development/management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior executives, organization, and external stakeholders.
- Unbridled commitment to customer service, strong project and team management skills, and ability to work with multiple priorities.
