Job Description - Senior Police Officer at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center

The Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center is searching for four (4) Police Officers to join the Police Service team in Long Beach, CA. As a Police Officer, your primary duty will involve working on Veterans Affairs Departmental properties, ensuring safety and security.

Job Requirements
  • You must be a U.S. citizen
  • Undergo a background check and may be subject to drug testing
  • Completion of an online onboarding process
  • Attend an 8 to 10-week course at the VA Law Enforcement Training Center in Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Must be able to possess firearms legally
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License and pass annual physical and psychosocial assessments
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following:

  • GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level
  • Preferred experience: Current Certified Police Officers of the VHA administration
