Contract Agreement Information:

  • This is a contract agreement, not a full-time job. However, there is a substantial amount of work available to keep you occupied.
  • Most contracts involve multi-month projects, with preference given to contractors who have prior experience with us.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install Forward hardware at new locations
  • Test components to ensure they meet specifications and QC requirements
  • Repair/replace broken hardware and perform preventative maintenance
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Prototype new concepts using various materials
  • Follow company procedures and safety policies
  • Contribute to workplace safety improvements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve objectives
  • Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines
  • Purchase necessary tools for the job

Requirements:

  • Experience in onsite maintenance and construction sites
  • Proficient in handyman, power tool, and hand tool skills
  • Bonus points for low voltage experience
  • Bonus points for machine shop experience
  • Ability to creatively solve mechanical and low voltage problems
  • Familiarity with different materials and manufacturing techniques
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Capacity to travel outside the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Capability to lift 50-75 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Established business entity or willingness to set one up
