Job Title: Privacy Advisor Senior

The Role:
  • Guide and oversee the development, implementation, and management of enterprise privacy programs to enhance risk and compliance management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on privacy regulations, collaborating with various business functions and stakeholders.
  • Provide training, guidance, and supervision to ensure adherence to USAA's privacy standards across different business areas.

We provide a flexible work environment, with a requirement to be in the office four days per week. This role is available in multiple locations such as San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL. However, relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a resource for cross-functional teams on privacy initiatives and issues.
  • Analyze trends, respond to privacy requirements, and advise on strengthening privacy programs.
  • Develop and deploy privacy policies and procedures to address control deficiencies.
  • Conduct data risk assessments and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in privacy, compliance, or related fields.
  • Strong operational experience in financial services, insurance, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Experience in conducting privacy assessments independently.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and data sharing.
  • Military experience is a plus.
