Job Title: Senior Member Advocacy Advisor

Soarion Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Senior Member Advocacy Advisor to join our Member Advocacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, training and developing member advisors, and driving sales and growth through consultative conversations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach, develop, and mentor member advisors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent service to our members.
  • Strengthen relationships with members through face-to-face and digital conversations, and make outside calls to cross-sell and up-sell credit union products and services that meet identified needs and maximize retention.
  • Process teller transactions, open new membership accounts, complete consumer loan applications, and provide general account information and support the overall operations of the branch.
  • Provide backup coverage to our face-to-face financial centers as needed.
  • Provide exemplary member experience that meets and exceeds our members' expectations, ensuring that members are acknowledged appropriately and transactions are processed accurately and professionally.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of all retail products and services and sufficient understanding of all Financial Center services to make effective referrals to other business lines.
  • Monitor Financial Center operations to ensure that security procedures are being followed and that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Review documents prepared by Financial Center staff, such as loan, membership, and account/loan maintenance audits, safe deposit vault entry, and exit records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures and address and resolve outstanding quality of work issues under the direction of the Financial Center Manager.
  • Establish value-added relationships with members to understand their financial needs and offer solutions for those needs, using solution methods that include identifying a solution, explaining the benefits of products and services, and accurately processing financial transactions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience preferred.
  • Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must know 10-key by touch.
  • Must be able to operate standard types of office equipment and computers quickly and accurately.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Must have strong workflow and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Must possess working PC knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheet skills, and Internet/Intranet.
  • Must exercise sound judgment.
