As a Senior Traffic Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for managing the City's traffic signal system under the direction of the City Traffic Engineer. Your tasks will include developing and optimizing signal timing plans, programming controllers, and overseeing maintenance activities.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Managing the planning, design, and construction of City traffic signal assets
  • Providing professional traffic engineering review of road improvement plans
  • Conducting daily operational tasks related to traffic operations
  • Interacting with the public and business community
  • Offering technical supervision and advice to lower-level engineers
  • Supervising the work of technical staff

If you're the right fit for this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of professional civil engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience supporting traffic signal systems and signal timing
  • Strong computer and networking skills
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington State
  • A valid driver's license
