POSITION PURPOSE
Supports aircraft Captain by ensuring safe and timely piloting of aircraft and performing other aircraft management duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Proper planning of each flight utilizing weather information and reports according to Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Ensuring air-worthiness of the aircraft and completing preflight inspections.
- Planning and fueling the flight properly for safe conduction.
- Operating the aircraft safely and effectively within regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining knowledge of equipment, FARs, manuals, and procedures.
- Informing crew and passengers of operational factors affecting the flight.
- Completing load manifest for each flight.
- Assisting the Captain in achieving on-time operation.
- Proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo.
- Professional conduct and adherence to dress code.
- Continuing professional training for performance improvement.
- Performing other assigned duties.
High School diploma or GED.
Must meet ATP or RATP certificate requirements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior customer service experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations under stress.
- Effective communication with management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Ability to speak and be understood in English, even in emergencies.
Ability to solve practical problems and react quickly in emergencies.
DECISION MAKING & IMPACT OF ERRORS
Medium range decision-making with moderate consequences.
Quick processing of information and positive reaction in unexpected situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Climbing, balancing, lifting items up to 75 pounds.
- Visual and auditory abilities for communication and operation.

- Sitting in pilot's seat without modifications.
- Working near mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions.
- Loud noise levels and varied work schedule.
