About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Professional to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. As an Airplane Pilot, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our national airspace system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain aircraft in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct routine inspections of ground-based navigational aids
  • Commission new equipment at airports around the U.S. and globally
  • Train and evaluate pilots to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Conduct research, development, test, and evaluation missions with cutting-edge avionics technology
  • Flight test new procedures to ensure they are safe for public use
  • Support other government agencies and the American public in times of need
Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Valid First or Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 250 hours of pilot-in-command time
  • Minimum 75 hours of night flying time
  • Minimum 100 hours of flying time in the last 12 months
  • Minimum 500 hours of multi-engine airplane time
  • Minimum 75 hours of instrument time
