We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Professional to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. As an Airplane Pilot, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our national airspace system.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain aircraft in a safe and efficient manner
- Conduct routine inspections of ground-based navigational aids
- Commission new equipment at airports around the U.S. and globally
- Train and evaluate pilots to ensure they meet the required standards
- Conduct research, development, test, and evaluation missions with cutting-edge avionics technology
- Flight test new procedures to ensure they are safe for public use
- Support other government agencies and the American public in times of need
- Valid Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- Valid First or Second-Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 250 hours of pilot-in-command time
- Minimum 75 hours of night flying time
- Minimum 100 hours of flying time in the last 12 months
- Minimum 500 hours of multi-engine airplane time
- Minimum 75 hours of instrument time
