As a systems engineer within our organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the capabilities and readiness of the F-35 aircraft by spearheading design evaluations and implementation strategies for training and simulation systems. Your clients will rely on your skills not only to create and enhance these systems but also to integrate advanced technological solutions.
On our team, you will expand your expertise into domains such as Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environments and Open Architecture integration. Enhance your professional growth by combining systems engineering with pilot training simulator design to develop an LVC training framework that connects various training device locations into established systems.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering or technical role.
- Familiarity with simulation principles and the trade-offs between commercial off-the-shelf equipment and military-specific systems for training system design.
- Understanding of fundamental systems engineering concepts, including iterative design, reuse, open systems, compatibility, configuration management, logistics, life cycle support, cost analysis, and testing.
- Proficient in conducting Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, performing requirements analysis, and developing validation and verification criteria.
- Ability to work autonomously, formulating and executing plans based on general client objectives.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies in the context of DoD systems development.
- Knowledge of pilot training simulator systems and their design and implementation.
- Familiarity with pilot training programs.
- Understanding of DoD acquisition processes and military program management standards.
- Knowledge of modern fighter aircraft mission systems, including radar and electronic warfare.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually.

Our culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site.
