Working Hours

This position is primarily based in an office environment, with some tasks that can be completed remotely. A Day in the Role...

As a Youth Street Outreach Specialist at Sabathani, you'll have the opportunity to assist homeless youth through housing programs and engage with community members to facilitate access to housing support services. Your duties will include:
  • Providing outreach services to individuals facing homelessness and unstable housing situations
  • Staffing drop-in hours at the main office
  • Collaborating with housing programs to guide individuals towards stability
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for assigned clients
  • Communicating promptly via various channels
  • Establishing professional boundaries and safeguarding sensitive information
  • Coordinating effectively with team members and external organizations
  • Pursuing professional development opportunities
  • Demonstrating resilience and adaptability in challenging scenarios
  • Adhering to mandated reporting protocols
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with families or individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Familiarity with HMIS and CES Assessments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to Sabathani's values and mission
  • Ability to interact respectfully with a diverse range of individuals
  • Proficiency in trauma-informed and client-centered care approaches
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in documentation
  • Comfort with technology and adaptability to a dynamic work environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
