The position involves occasional travel to project sites across the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental coordination for engineering, right-of-way, and public affairs to develop applications and secure the necessary environmental approvals for project construction in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to environmental permits and regulations.
  • Manage environmental data and associated databases.
  • Oversee compliance with environmental permits, legislation, and company standards.
  • Engage effectively with government regulators during the permit acquisition process.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports.
  • Research federal and state regulatory requirements as needed.
  • Conduct internal audits of environmental management activities.
  • Review construction progress and monitor environmental impacts and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline; alternatively, relevant work experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in federal and state environmental permitting, with a focus on the oil and gas sector. Louisiana permitting experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to evaluate and clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications as required for effective job performance.
