Summary

Under general direction of Domestic Violence Intervention Program Manager, responsible for the management of case management team. Provide support to Case Managers by overseeing case assignment, scheduling, and coaching. Supervisor is responsible for assisting Program Manager with identifying training needs, leading team meetings, and data tracking and management. Supervisor will be expected to oversee Case Managers responding to Domestic Violence Navigation Line operations, future staff expansion, and will work weekends and holidays. Supervisor will be expected to be available to their assigned staff when on-call. Supervisor will be working in an office setting, performing field work and office visits with clients, and be mobile throughout the County when necessary. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Will exercise
supervision over assigned staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees Case Management team responding to the Domestic Violence Navigation Line.
  • Responsible for case assignment and day to day management for case management team.
  • May supervise up to 12 case managers.
  • Will be on-call by being available to case managers when they are on-call, and will have client caseload as needed
  • Responsible for staff auditing, coaching, and performance for Case Manager service provision and documentation.
  • Responsible for identifying general training for case management team and on-boarding and training of new staff
  • Oversees scheduling and development of on-call schedules and calendars
  • Responsible for cooperation and communication with external programs and stakeholders as needed
  • Assists Program Manager with team meetings and identifying trainings needs
  • Responsible for gathering information for monthly data reports to stakeholders
  • Oversees emergency resource assistance inventory and distribution
  • Responsible for scheduling and providing outreach as needed related to special needs projects including outreach efforts, public speaking, and special activities to clients and the Bexar County community
  • May perform other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related field, and three (3) years' experience in victim's services or a related field , including one (1) year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with personnel working in school districts, law enforcement, and/or the judicial system and an understanding of the nuances related to the target system(s).
  • Strong organization skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound decision-making, and problem-solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and to accomplish tasks autonomously and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to function well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and reliably fulfill duties in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting and demonstrating Trauma-Informed Practices andat the highest standard.
  • Ability to organize and report information; ability to operate personal computer, typewriter and basic office equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County Employees, outside organizations and the general public.
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation from Bexar County Human Resources and maintain CJIS eligibility
  • Must secure and maintain a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours during work and on-call hours
