Assessment Intervention Management (AIM) is a leading provider of innovative healthcare solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a School Nursing Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to students through health screenings, staff education, medical management, and state compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to students, utilizing specialized nursing skills to ensure their health and wellbeing.
• Complete daily clinic logs and progress notes, documenting all patient interactions and care provided.
• Counsel students and their families/caregivers on nursing and related needs, providing education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
• Participate in in-service programs, supervising and teaching other school personnel as needed to ensure a high level of care is maintained.
• Understand and adhere to policies and procedures established by AIM and our partner schools, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Follow physician orders, contributing to individualized health plans in conjunction with the Nursing Supervisor to ensure each student receives tailored care.
• Implement students' individualized health plans, communicating necessary revisions to the Nursing Supervisor to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Maintain confidentiality, safeguarding all patient-related information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete documentation and paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and thorough records are maintained.
• Report any patient incidents, variances, or complaints immediately to the Nursing Supervisor and school administration, ensuring prompt attention to any concerns.
• Demonstrate competency with technical skills, adhering to established procedures to ensure high-quality care is provided.
• Report all incomplete work assignments to the Nursing Supervisor, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
• Maintain professionalism, including a clean appearance and punctuality, to promote a positive image of AIM and our partner schools.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks to ensure all responsibilities are met.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, responding calmly to emergency situations and notifying the Nursing Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Active CPR certification
• Valid Texas LVN license
• One or more years of experience is preferred, but not required.
