The Account Manager plays a key role in dealing with denim fabrics and pocketing, establishing and nurturing relationships with current and potential customers to boost business and enhance sales volumes. Responsibilities also involve showcasing new products, providing pricing details, and collaborating with customer service and production teams to keep clients updated on order status.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales manager to forecast sales and analyze inventory needs for sales accounts.
  • Devise sales strategies to optimize sales and gross margin figures, focusing on existing clients, product introductions, and prospecting for new customers within specified timeframes.
  • Conduct sales visits, cultivate positive connections with potential clients to expand business opportunities, with a keen emphasis on new customers and product placements.
  • Work closely with product design and development teams to exchange customer feedback and market trends, aiding in fulfilling current and future product requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, generate reports, and analyze market trends when required. Keep abreast of competitor activities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of denim products, target markets, and consumer preferences. Offer innovative product solutions to clients.
  • Participate in relevant tradeshows, stay updated on industry and market developments concerning suppliers, competitors, and clients.
  • Provide exceptional and timely customer service, being proactive in addressing queries related to new products, order statuses, deliveries, and other product-related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or possess equivalent successful sales experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of successful selling experience, with a preference for prior sales exposure in denim or similar textiles.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Showcase drive, initiative, and a self-starting attitude.
  • Be willing to travel overnight for client visits and tradeshows.
