Reporting to the Senior Director Shopper Marketing Large Store + Emerging Channels, the Shopper Marketing Director will collaborate with the LS + EC Sales Leadership team, cross-functional marketing teams, eCom sales, digital marketing, and the category management/shopper insights team to assist the Shopper Marketing Managers in creating and executing insight-driven, channel/retailer specific marketing solutions based on shopper behavior. This role will function as a marketing expert for the Large Store + Emerging Channels channel and will have responsibilities in Retailer-facing marketing.

The Director Shopper Marketing Large Store + Emerging Channels will be accountable for achieving channel-wide objectives and reporting them to the marketing leadership team. This will involve developing channel and customer-specific annual marketing plans, eCom joint sales & marketing plans, budgets, and pre/post promotional analysis. Additionally, providing leadership and guidance to the LS + EC Shopper Marketing Managers in traditional shopper marketing functions, retail media, planning, analysis, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Channel/Retailer Marketing Strategy
    • Ability to align channel, retailer, and brand goals for strategic programming.
    • Provide thought leadership to enhance shopper marketing processes for LS + EC channel shopper marketing managers.
    • Translate sales and brand goals into strategic retail media/digital marketing activation.
    • Identify marketing trends and opportunities within LS + EC channels using Category, Shopper, and Retailer specific data.
    • Develop and execute Channel Specific strategies based on department, sales, and company goals.
    • Collaborate with LS + EC Sales Leadership to ensure sales goals are achieved.
    • Facilitate post-promotional evaluations to measure success with respect to KPIs and ROI.
    • Translate national brand/sales initiatives and shopper insights into retail marketing strategy for large store & emerging channels business.
    • Ensure optimized utilization of contracted assets.
  • Leadership/Management
    • Lead, develop, and coach a team of Shopper Marketing Managers.
    • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Guide in the development and execution of annual Shopper marketing plans.
    • Monitor implementation of customer plans with SMMs.
    • Keep key stakeholders updated on KPIs for Shopper Marketing in the LS + EC channel.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Shopper Marketing, Key Account Sales, Digital Marketing, and Brand Management in the beverage/packaged goods industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred, MBA a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Knowledge of Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Digital Marketing, Retail Media & eCommerce.
  • Experience in Large Store + Emerging Channels Channel/Customer strongly desired.
  • Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with syndicated data, Amazon + Walmart DSP, and top retail media vendor portals strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to company values.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Salary Range: USD 125,230.00 to USD 147,300.00
