Position Overview:
The role of Supply Chain Analyst also known as Buyer/Planner at Oracle involves overseeing the acquisition of essential commodities utilized by Oracle's manufacturing partners for the production of Oracle Hardware Systems.

The responsibilities are intricate and frequently unique. Interaction is essential across various cross-functional areas.

The primary task is to coordinate the supplier of the commodity and the contract manufacturer to address supply chain issues.

The Buyer/Planner collaborates with the Commodity Planner and Strategic Sourcing Manager to ensure the effective setup and operation of all aspects of the Commodity Supply Chain.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain materials based on engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (e.g., just-in-time purchases, use of EOQ - economic order quantities).
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure material standards are met.
  • Conduct supply/demand analysis, inventory management, and lead time management.
  • Additional responsibilities include Backlog review, Manual POs, Expense POs, Converting requirements to Purchase Orders, Staff meetings, Ad hoc supplier meetings, Backlog Reports, Procurement of Key Commodities, Scheduling critical orders, Partner with internal and external teams to resolve complex issues.

Required Skills:
A college degree or 5 years of equivalent experience. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Demonstrated expertise in supply chain and logistic functions, such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, and distribution.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in optimizing supply chain operations for enhanced efficiency. Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess data.
