Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
As an Industrial Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include assessing facility layout and staffing needs to ensure seamless operations. You will also be tasked with creating work instructions and revising standard operating procedures. Your contributions will be vital in enabling us to deliver effective business solutions to our international clientele.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $65,459 - $81,824. This range reflects our good faith estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary, and this range is applicable for roles performed in California. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and additional benefits for eligible employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate facility design needs based on operational activity, product dimensions, flow, and transportation methods.
- Conduct production time studies, workforce analyses, downtime assessments, and efficiency enhancement plans.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and optimize workflow; analyze inbound, outbound, and inventory processes to maintain optimal warehouse operations.
- Perform value stream mapping and implement process improvements across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with pricing and solutions teams to provide essential operational cost data for proposals.
- Monitor key performance indicators and develop basic analytics for operational metrics.
- Engage with vendors to explore operational equipment and automation solutions.
- Formulate and oversee project plans for significant operational enhancement initiatives.
- Support the Maintenance department by compiling critical spare parts lists and tracking daily financial performance.
- Transform contract documents and proposals into actionable work instructions and operating procedures; submit ISO-compliant documentation to the Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of engineering experience.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
- Familiarity with business intelligence software such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present organized and thorough information.
- Capability to produce detailed technical documentation and procedural manuals.
- Ability to conduct insightful research and provide clear interpretations of results.
- Note: This position does not offer remote work options and is not open to visa candidates.
