Comprehensive Logistics is seeking an experienced Corporate Safety Manager that will be responsible for building our safety programs at our operations facilities that includes workers compensation administration and promoting the maintenance of a safe and accident free work environment. Safety program responsibilities includes the following:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, builds, and evaluates safety programs.

Conducts Safety Audits.

Implements and continuously improve safety programs and creates policies and procedures to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Advises management and key-stakeholders on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.

Plans, implements, and conducts safety training for employees in work site safety practices.

Oversee the workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier, broker, and medical providers to improve employee post-injury care, reduce lost time and control cost.

Maintains safety, environmental and workers compensation records.

Recommends and implements improvements in processes, management systems, procedures and operating equipment to comply with safety and environmental requirements.

Maintains all safety files and records.

Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.

Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards to management and key-stakeholders.

Maintains Safety Net internal Safety Share Point site.

Reviews and closes all Safety CAPAs.

Patriciates in outside audits.

All OSHA reporting and correspondences.

Leads Safety Teams for all sites.

Conducts all compliance activities.

Project lead for automation of Safety processes, tools.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is highly desirable.

A minimum of years of safety experience preferred.

Multi-site manufacturing experience in an automotive environment and/or third-party logistics experience is required.

Union experience is highly desirable.

Experience in OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.

A proven safety leader with a solid track record of successfully implementing safety programs.

Mitigation, workers compensations and OSHA experience is required.

Experience with Return to Work Programs.

Continuous Improvement mindset.

Strong computer, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

A minimum of 50% (overnight) travel is required.

Working off shifts as required.
