Financial Controller for Local Product Costs and Procurement Performance is a global position to structure the local standard costing and transfer pricing over 80 tollers across 20 countries with more than 10,000 materials.

This is an individual contributor role with a hybrid schedule located in Cary, NC.

Main Objective:

The Financial Controller for local product costs supports the value creation by ensuring reliable and efficient steering of product costs. They will lead initiatives to optimize and give transparency on product costs and direct purchases.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement and Accounting
  • Accountable for local product costs and direct procurement and subcontracting cost control

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate local and standard product costings for all the materials in the ERP in each legal entity
  • Implement the Transfer Prices on materials in each legal entity in consideration of the Transfer prices Accounting guiding rules
  • Ensure the Subcontracting (tolling) cost controlling as well as Procurement direct cost controlling.
  • Ensure a close follow-up on products cost on issues solving and corrections if needed especially for reliable monthly closing and for audits
  • Provide to Head of Operational Finance the appropriate information and KPI's on product costs in a timely manner to steer the business, by ensuring the availability of costs information
  • Master world-wide by analyzing monthly results for the legal entities local product costs compared to budget, forecast, and previous year.
  • Contribute to the Company Budget and Forecast process for local product costs and transfer prices for trade or subcontracted goods, by supporting defining rules
  • Ensure the reliability of the procurements savings to ease validation
  • Provide the relevant KPI's and information on direct procurements and subcontracted costs to support Payables monitoring

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
  • At least 10 years' experience in industrial costing / controlling; good knowledge of controlling principles and accounting
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable communicating and working with teammates in different countries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive with the ability to work in autonomously within a complex multicultural environment
  • Good knowledge in Controlling systems and ERPs: MSD 365, Power-BI, Datalake/Datawarehouse
