Position Overview

The Finance Application Access, Security & Controls team is in search of a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to deliver comprehensive support for Global Financial Systems. Our team serves as the primary resource for access to Worldwide SAS Financial Systems, overseeing security and control for both cloud-based and on-premise applications. With team members across four continents, we provide continuous support to SAS and our external user community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end business process guidance and solution definition for the design and configuration of financial and accounting systems, including reporting and supplementary applications.
  • Lead incident and change management efforts. Prioritize support tickets and system enhancement requests, conducting root cause analysis to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Oversee access management, system configuration, and administration of finance, accounting, payroll, and related systems. Manage user access with proper documentation and approvals; conduct periodic audits of access.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors regarding systems assurance in financial audits. Provide expertise on relevant accounting and financial data processing regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely about accounting and financial systems, including user documentation, policy contributions, testing procedures, project status updates, process flows, and audit statements identifying control risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable security policies and processes to support the organization's secure software development objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires 6-8 years of experience in financial or accounting systems support. Desired experience includes change management, process analysis, systems implementation, administration, auditing, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification/Licensure: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Experience collaborating with top accounting firms on global projects.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Workday, or other cloud-based ERP systems.
  • Understanding of university and/or public auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards governing the use of computer systems.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to problem-solving.
