Position Overview

The Financial Systems Integration Expert will provide essential support for financial systems and accounting within our U.S. operations. This role is pivotal in managing the deployment of an enterprise resource planning system ("ERP") from a financial, accounting, and operational viewpoint, ensuring the creation of precise financial reports and adherence to Cornerstone Building Brands' policies. The individual in this position will significantly influence the financial performance and growth trajectory of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to facilitate the seamless integration and deployment of the new ERP system within Cornerstone Building Brands' processes and systems, ensuring accurate transaction recording in the general ledger.
  • Support the ERP project from an accounting and financial reporting perspective, including requirement gathering, user acceptance testing, and production implementation support.
  • Assist in the establishment of new processes and controls to support the finance system implementation, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide timely documentation as requested.
  • Lead and influence change with cross-functional teams to address data discrepancies and enhance operational processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes involving the new ERP.
  • Develop reporting requirements and generate reports for accounting and operational management regarding reconciliation processes.
  • Investigate data quality issues by analyzing complex data structures to identify root causes and effectively communicate findings and solutions to accounting and IT teams.
  • Contribute to the training and development of workshops to equip finance/accounting team members with the skills to operate the new ERP.
  • Willingness to travel to various manufacturing sites during the ERP implementation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly in a manufacturing context; familiarity with JDE E1 is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team in a dynamic environment, achieving collective goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
