Our client is a family-owned roofing company which offers Commercial & Residential roofing repair and replacement services. They also provide new roof construction and commercial roofing services. The company is headquartered in Florida and has branches across the state.

POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is looking to expand to the Tampa area with the goal of opening a new branch once they find the right person. This role would start as an individual contributor with the goal of growing the Tampa market to $300k in monthly revenue at which point a team would be built around the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the commercial roofing sector in Tampa. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals, while also staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial roofing market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized roofing solutions and proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of success in commercial roofing sales or business development (5+ years)
  • Business development accumen - must be an experienced hunter with proven success in generating your own leads and closing deals
  • Strong knowledge of the Florida market and its key players
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of roofing materials, systems, and installation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing customer relationships.

  • Minimum base salary: $80,000 (range above depending on experience and interview performance)
