We are currently looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our client's finance team. As a key member of a dynamic, cross-functional team, you will play a vital role in problem-solving and enhancing performance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting activities for manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate costs, inventories, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control team to oversee inventory-related processes, analysis, and adjustments for accuracy.
  • Work closely with production teams to establish and maintain job costing procedures.
  • Review and analyze daily transactions for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze cost and variance trends, addressing significant discrepancies effectively.
  • Establish and evaluate labor and overhead rates in alignment with operational budgets.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to update Bills of Materials and Operations for accurate ERP representation.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in inventory observations and ERP implementations.
  • Identify and drive process improvement projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide essential information to support management decisions.
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting/finance, focusing on manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
