Position Details:

Hartford Hospital is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as the Advanced Practice Quality Coordinator of the Department of Surgery. The Quality Coordinator will focus on advancing best practice standards, ensuring continuous quality improvement, and enhancing system efficiencies within the department. This role involves integrating clinical expertise and quality standards across the care continuum to promote professional practice and excellence in interdisciplinary care.

Role: Open to Nurse Practitioners (APRN) and Physician Assistants with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience

Location: On site at Hartford Hospital Department of Surgery

Setting: Inpatient and Administrative

Advanced Practice Quality Coordinator Role Scope:

  • Establishes a structure to mitigate patient safety risks
  • Integrates evidence-based research into educational offerings
  • Provides metrics and reports to review processes and outcomes regularly
  • Supports safety and quality improvement culture
  • Coordinates evidence-based practice within the interdisciplinary team
  • Acts as a mentor for the Division Specific Advanced Practice Quality Coordinators
