In the Critical Care department at Hartford Hospital, our team of highly skilled and trained Registered Nurses (RNs) provide expertise at the bedside and deliver the highest quality care in a compassionate manner.
The units rely heavily on a team-based mentality, where all healthcare team members work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes based on the Hartford Healthcare values of Safety, Excellence, Integrity, and Caring.
Responsibilities- Provide expert care to critically ill patients in the Surgical-Trauma Intensive Care Unit
- Work collaboratively with a team of Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Registered Nurses, and surgical house staff physicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
- Current Connecticut RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required)
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire
- Minimum one year Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience strongly preferred
- In exceptional circumstances, experienced ASN/ADN nurses may be considered
- Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply through the Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program
