DEPARTMENT: Front Office

POSITION SUMMARY: The INNSIDER role focuses on providing efficient service and crafting personalized experiences that leave a lasting impact on our guests. This individual must handle guest requests, inquiries, and concerns following the hotel's guidelines. Greeting guests with a warm smile and proactive service is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, assisting with requests promptly.
  • Attend daily meetings to stay informed about hotel activities and guest needs.
  • Complete daily reports to ensure accurate billing and personalized service.
  • Assign rooms based on guest preferences and reasons for their stay.
  • Efficiently register new guests, introducing them to hotel amenities.
  • Provide concierge services such as booking reservations and arranging transportation.
  • Learn guest preferences to deliver memorable experiences.
  • Assist guests promptly, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional phone etiquette.
  • Escort guests within the hotel premises when needed.
  • Answer and process calls efficiently.
  • Provide guests with accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Handle wake-up calls and messages accurately and discreetly.
  • Maintain guest privacy and follow key security procedures.
  • Perform check-out processes and manage cash transactions.
  • Complete end-of-day procedures including auditing transactions.
  • Facilitate night audit processes and newspaper deliveries.
  • Review wake-up call requests and provide shift handovers.
QUALIFICATIONS (to do this kind of work, you must possess/be able to):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in Hotel Front Office.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Computer literacy, including written communication skills.
  • Preferred bilingual skills (e.g. English/French, English/Spanish).
  • Familiarity with Opera Cloud (PMS) and HMobile is a plus.
  • Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle various situations with tact and courtesy.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and transportation options.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical computations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: An individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include prior experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various stakeholders.

MATH and LOGICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in mathematical concepts and logical reasoning.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular activities include standing, walking, and communicating.

HOURLY WAGE: $23.00 per hour
