Job Summary

  • The Senior HR Generalist supports multi-state locations by providing a broad range of HR services, including day-to-day HR administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and leave administration. This role acts as the main point of contact for employees' and managers' inquiries regarding policies, practices, and general HR matters.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact for employee relations issues and conduct in-depth investigations into employee concerns.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting thorough internal investigations.
  • Suggest new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually enhance the department's efficiency and services.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring completeness of hiring information, pay rates, and status changes.
  • Process new hires and terminations by reviewing approved field submissions.
  • Provide HR support on acquisitions related to the onboarding and integration of employees.
  • Administer and manage all aspects of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and personal leaves.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and coordinate with Safety on Workers Comp leaves.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations, internal investigations, and leave administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and possess strong data analytical capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
