Descripción del Trabajo:

El Especialista en Servicios al Paciente I crea una experiencia positiva para el paciente al superar consistentemente las expectativas en servicio al cliente y atención al paciente, coordinando actividades de oficina y médicas de un equipo de atención médica, actividades de registro de pacientes y facilitando el acceso a los servicios de UTMB para pacientes nuevos y recurrentes.

FUNCIONES PRINCIPALES DEL TRABAJO

Servicio al Cliente:

  • Brinda un servicio al cliente de alto nivel en todas las interacciones con clientes internos y externos.
  • Proporciona interacciones directas, profesionales y con conocimiento con pacientes, médicos, fuentes de referencias y el equipo de tratamiento.
  • Responde siempre llamadas con precisión y con un servicio al cliente excepcional.
  • Garantiza que las necesidades de los llamantes sean satisfechas y se obtenga información precisa.
  • Se asegura de documentar las llamadas y de triarlas apropiadamente para garantizar la satisfacción y seguridad del paciente. Completa el proceso de encuentro telefónico si es apropiado.
  • Actúa como defensor del paciente y enlace con varios departamentos para cumplir metas mutuas.
  • Mantiene la confidencialidad del paciente con respecto al acceso a la información clínica y de pacientes a través de correo electrónico, computadora, fax y correo.
  • Aborda las preocupaciones de los pacientes, brinda recuperación de servicios y escalas problemas según sea necesario.

Programación:

  • Aplica las políticas de la entidad clínica para programar citas.
  • Coordina asesoramiento financiero para cirugías de un día.
  • Realiza recordatorios a los pacientes para citas programadas.
  • Capacita a los pacientes/responsables sobre el proceso de facturación y cualquier responsabilidad financiera adicional, incluida información sobre beneficios de terceros.
  • Proporciona estimaciones de costos por cuenta propia a los pacientes.
  • Aconseja a los pacientes sobre facturas impagas.
  • Obtiene citas futuras en el momento del servicio para seguimiento clínico, referencias y servicios auxiliares.

Llegada:

  • Llega a los pacientes y prepara la documentación/expediente para la visita.
  • Cobra apropiadamente todo el dinero recibido, tokens distribuidos y autorizaciones de aplazamiento.

Registro:

  • Verifica, asegura la elegibilidad y preregistra a los pacientes obteniendo datos demográficos y coberturas de terceros en cada encuentro.
  • Obtiene y documenta la información requerida para el reembolso de terceros.
  • Garantiza el cumplimiento de la cobertura de Medicare y de terceros.
  • Comunica con paciente, fuente de referencia, médico de UTMB y personal clínico sobre cualquier obstáculo para el acceso o autorización.

Desestimiento:

  • Completa totalmente cada paciente dentro del plazo designado.
  • Se adhiere a los controles internos establecidos para el departamento.

Funciones Laborales Marginales o Periódicas:

  • Realiza deberes relacionados según sea necesario.
  • Lee todos los Anuncios de OSA y comunicaciones relevantes relacionadas con las funciones laborales.
  • Completa con éxito la formación y pruebas basadas en competencias de manera anual.
  • Prioriza y completa todo el trabajo de manera precisa, efectiva y eficiente.
  • Resguarda la oficina y los archivos que contienen dinero o información confidencial cuando esté ausente de la
estación de trabajo. Desecha adecuadamente la información del paciente impresa, cierra la sesión en la computadora al salir de la estación de trabajo y mantiene confidenciales las contraseñas.
  • Participa en reuniones/actividades de equipo y apoya la filosofía y metas del equipo/departamento.
  • Lee todos los Anuncios de OSA y comunicaciones relevantes relacionadas con las funciones laborales.
  • Completa con éxito la formación y pruebas basadas en competencias de manera anual.
  • Prioriza y completa todo el trabajo de manera precisa, efectiva y eficiente.
