ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities


Under the supervision of the Gas Pressure & Measurement Work Coordinator, maintains numerous gas regulator station yard areas throughout the City of Corpus Christi, including the Gas Department lawn and shrubbery.

Mow using push and riding mowers; weed eats and edge. Remove litter from grounds, sweep sidewalks, empty smoke receptacles. Maintain fencing to include cleaning, painting, and repairing gates. Remove graffiti and paint as needed.

Performs routine maintenance and repairs on all job related equipment such as change oil filters, spark plugs and wires; replace or sharpen mower blades; check vehicle fluids.

Report damage and needed repairs. Assist with the installation/removal of large volume gas meters. May help load gas meters weighing up to 800 lb. onto trucks and place the meters into position at installation locations. May be asked to change weekly charts on route in absence of regular chart person. Involves frequent driving to different locations. May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires a High School diploma or GED with minimum of 6 months of experience. A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.
