Who We Want
The Director of Football Technology, under general supervision, oversees and manages Football Technology. Works with football coaching staff to develop media for the use of analysis and scouting. Oversees all video operations and supervises all video operations personnel for TAMU Football.

What you need to know

Commensurate based on hire's experience.

Position Details:
Employee will supervise (4) Football Technology Staff. This position is security sensitive. This position may direct and/or evaluate the work of others. This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU regulations and procedures.

Physical Requirements:
Occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy weighted objects. Ability to navigate in cramped spaces. Occasionally required to work in outdoor weather conditions.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six years of experience in sports videography and editing

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Operating knowledge of Football Coaches Video Editing System (Catapult
  • DVSport)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Essential Duties/Tasks:

Football Technology Oversight - Provides oversight for all aspects of Football Technology. Organizes and manages the in-house and cloud-based statistical analysis tools the coaching staff uses in game strategy preparation. Coordinates with coaches as to their needs to develop best possible video for coaches and players. Maintains access to content for coaches computers and players iPads.

Video Operations - Responsible for the shooting, processing and management of all game and practice video as well as producing internal video content for the team and staff. Oversees the purchasing, maintenance, and inventory of all football technology equipment.

Personnel Management - Oversees the hiring, training, and scheduling for all Football Technology staff and student workers. Ensures safety of personnel in film towers.

Budget - Manages the football technology equipment budget. Collaborates with the Athletic Director on yearly purchase of video equipment and peripherals for Athletic Department.
