Job Title: Executive Director, IT Research Architecture

At Texas A&M University, we are seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Executive Director, IT Research Architecture. This position is a critical component of our Technology Services team, responsible for designing and building innovative IT services that cater to the needs of our research community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with colleges, divisions, and researchers to provide a user-centric approach for all IT research activities across the university.
  • Lead project delivery, enhancements, innovations, and research service development teams in support of academic technologies.
  • Drive innovation and strategic research solutions while ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a research technology roadmap to promote the missions of the campus and opportunities for continual improvement in research activities.
  • Develop security solutions and monitoring methods for research technology services and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten years of related experience in information technology management.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's and Doctorate degree in a STEM field, 15 years of related experience, and experience developing, writing, and administering NSF and NIH grants.

  • A competitive salary range of $155,000 – 180,000 annually.
