Job Duties
- Composes correspondence, reports, forms, and specialized documents related to the Continuing Education program offerings.
- Enters, edits and retrieves data and prepares periodic or special reports, using a computer system and following established formats and menus.
- Acts as a receptionist and receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and takes messages; provides factual information regarding departmental activities and functions which may require the explanation of rules, policies and/or procedures.
- Establishes and maintains office files; researches and compiles information from such files; purges files as required.
- Assist students, faculty and general public by providing relevant CE program information.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
