Job Summary

This role is crucial to the success of our retail stores. As a Retail Customer Service Specialist, you will collaborate closely with wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, provide information about Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest suitable solutions. Your responsibilities will also include promptly addressing any customer concerns to ensure their satisfaction, staying updated on product features, and maintaining high product and store standards. Achieving excellent customer service while meeting sales goals are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction through effective sales service.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone to identify needs and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Build trusting relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas, pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tint/mix products as needed.
  • Stock shelves, set up displays, and clean store equipment.
  • Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks and making deliveries as required.
  • Maintain assigned areas in-stock and presentable.
  • Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures and suggest ways to improve sales.
Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products is a plus.
  • Previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish is a plus.
