Job Description

Position Overview:

Assembler responsibilities include using components and parts to produce machines, goods, products and other objects. Other duties include reading and interpreting blueprints, positioning parts and examining connections for correct fit. The job also entails performing repairs and reporting errors in assembly.

Essential Functions:
  • Assemble motor devices according to approved manufacturing procedures and acceptable industry standards.
  • Perform in process inspection.
  • Maintain proper levels of traceability for production builds and engineering tests.
  • Operate Commercial Production line within implemented Quality Management System per current Good Manufacturing Practices (ISO9001/AS9100).
  • Requires the ability knowledge required to read blueprints and plan for their associated assembly.
  • Able to read and follow work instructions and other manufacturing documents.
  • Able to understand and use calipers, micrometer, plug gauges and other types of specification verification equipment.
  • Ability to use hand/motor activated bench type machines to press, stamp, crimp, blast, metal, wire or molded parts in the mechanical assembly process preferred.
  • Must be able to work with others.
  • Use hand tools as required.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment and machinery.
Requirements

Requirements and Preferred Experience:
  • Mechanical inclination required.
  • 2 years assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and blueprints is required
  • Must be flexible with working overtime (daily and occasional weekends)
  • Adaptable team player with positive and energetic attitude who knows how to listen and appreciate others.
  • High degree of manual dexterity to perform detailed tasks
  • Previous winding experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic AC/DC motor functionality and build considered a positive factor
  • Familiarity with electrical tests (i.e. surge test, hi-pot test, inductance, rotation and resistance of windings)
