This position plays a crucial role within the production team at Sanmina Corporation. The primary responsibilities include interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions to effectively complete wiring on control panels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate proficiency in reading, interpreting, and following assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to identify component parts and assembly sequences.
2. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
3. Perform a diverse range of electronic or electromechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, adapting to various working positions and handling components of light to medium weight.
4. Adhere to all quality, environmental, health, and safety specifications.
5. Prepare surfaces and components to prevent damage during assembly and testing.
6. Utilize hand and power tools effectively to assemble units according to product specifications.
7. Apply strong mechanical aptitude in production operations.
8. Employ basic problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
9. Execute builds using connection lists and schematics.
10. Explain criteria for cable drainage/service loops and identify damaged wire/hardware.
11. Position, align, and adjust parts for optimal fit and assembly.
12. Inspect parts for imperfections and test completed units for functionality.
13. Identify and report any faulty components or hazards during the assembly process.
14. Make setups and adjustments while maintaining tolerances to blueprint specifications.
15. Conduct point-to-point wiring per work instructions, including short/continuity tests and Hipot tests.
16. Maintain physical stamina for tasks requiring standing, climbing, bending, and other movements.
17. Assist fellow assemblers in completing assembly tasks.
18. May assist in electrical work as needed.
19. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in switchgear.
- Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office, or equivalent software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Capable of following work instructions and procedures consistently.
- Committed to working under safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on an occasional basis.
- Willingness to work overtime as required based on business needs.
