Key Responsibilities
This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be expanded as needed by management.
- Execute diverse assembly and erection tasks for various water pumping stations, enclosures, and component sub-assemblies, ensuring compliance with close tolerances and strict inspection criteria.
- Fabricate, cut, grind, sand, and bond FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics) components.
- Conduct sandblasting and paint preparation for both metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Perform welding of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) plastic, both manually and using a Hydraulic Fusion machine, to meet required standards.
- Process parts on a 3-axis CNC machine, including basic setup, operation, and cleanup.
- Utilize band saws, table saws, or drill presses for part processing.
- Assemble or modify components using various hand tools.
- Employ a range of precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Demonstrate high skill levels in assembly techniques, along with a solid understanding of design and basic mechanical principles.
- Install and connect wiring according to specifications, optimizing available space for quality workmanship.
- Interpret complex assembly drawings and specifications, completing all related documentation and measurements.
- Provide feedback on product and process enhancements, as well as revisions to drawings, specifications, or bills of materials.
- Possess or be willing to learn Forklift and Crane operation to fulfill daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty to meet close tolerances and rigorous inspection standards. The individual should be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is generally required.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and routings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English for effective interaction and direction.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Duties may require frequent standing or walking, as well as occasional talking, listening, and movement between locations. The employee will frequently use hands for handling or touching, with occasional kneeling, crouching, or working from a ladder. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates in an industrial setting where adherence to safety policies is mandatory. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and appropriate safety attire must be worn at all times while on the plant floor. The employee may work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Medical clearance to wear a respirator is required, with testing and equipment provided by Watertronics. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
