Role Summary: The Assembly Technician is responsible for executing a variety of assembly and installation tasks to construct diverse water pumping systems, protective enclosures, and various component sub-assemblies. This role demands precision and adherence to strict inspection standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assembly and installation operations for water pumping stations and related components.
- Fabricate, cut, grind, sand, and bond Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) components.
- Prepare surfaces for painting and perform sandblasting on both metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Execute welding of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic using manual techniques and Hydraulic Fusion machinery.
- Operate a 3-axis CNC machine, including setup, operation, and cleanup of machined parts.
- Utilize band saws, table saws, and drill presses for part processing.
- Modify components and perform assembly tasks using various hand tools.
- Employ precision measuring instruments and gauging devices to ensure quality standards.
- Wire components according to specifications, optimizing space for effective workmanship.
- Interpret complex assembly drawings and specifications, completing all relevant documentation.
- Contribute to product and process enhancements, providing feedback on drawings and specifications.
- Receive training on Forklift and Crane operations as needed.
- Expertise in assembly and installation techniques.
- Proficient in fabrication and finishing processes for FRP components.
- Experience with welding HDPE materials.
- Ability to operate CNC machinery and various saws.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring practices.
