Old Republic Excess & Surplus Inc. (ORE&S) is a new division specialized in Property and Casualty (P&C) business written on a non-admitted, Excess & Surplus Lines basis through appointed wholesalers.

Senior Underwriting - Responsibilities:

  • Solicit, select, negotiate, and price Property Risks to drive profitable growth aligning with ORE&S goals
  • Manage gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, and client relationships
  • Apply advanced technical underwriting concepts/skills and analytical tools to provide insurance solutions
  • Identify, underwrite, and sell new/renewal accounts in line with ORE&S goals

Experience/Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of E&S Property underwriting experience
  • Experience with Primary, Excess, and Shared Layers risks
  • Bachelor's degree, CPCU preferred
  • Strong Underwriting Technical Skills in Property Line of Business
  • Advanced negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
