As a Property Treaty Underwriter, you will be instrumental in evaluating new business opportunities, analyzing risk portfolios, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure both profitability and diversification of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and price both new and renewal treaty agreements.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to brokers, fostering relationships and enhancing retention.
  • Manage accounts to optimize both retention and profitability.
  • Develop innovative structures to meet client requirements.
  • Analyze treaty agreements and establish a strong market presence.
  • Assist in the acquisition of Property Retrocessions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in reinsurance underwriting or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Excel and relevant tools.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to shifting priorities.
  • Skills in process enhancement and operational efficiency.
  • Relevant professional designations such as CPCU, ARe, or expertise in CAT Modelling are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation Overview:

The compensation structure is competitive and based on various factors including performance and expertise. Additional incentives may include bonuses and performance-related rewards. The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $160,000.
