As a Senior Property Treaty Underwriter, you will be instrumental in evaluating new business opportunities, conducting thorough portfolio analyses, and working collaboratively across departments to ensure both profitability and a well-diversified portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and price both new and renewal business opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to meet departmental objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to brokers, fostering relationships that enhance retention.
  • Manage accounts to optimize both retention and profitability.
  • Design solutions tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Review treaty agreements and establish a strong market presence.
  • Assist in the acquisition of Property Retrocessions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in reinsurance underwriting or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Excel and relevant tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing priorities.
  • Skills in process enhancement and operational efficiency.
  • Relevant professional designations such as CPCU, ARe, or CAT Modelling are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The compensation package is competitive and varies based on performance and expertise. Additional incentives may include bonuses and other rewards. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000.
