Company Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated hands-on leader to take their team and organization to the next level As they continue to grow and expand their operations across North America, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR department and support our employees in achieving their full potential.
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Human Resources will play a critical role in driving the success of our organization by overseeing all aspects of human resources management.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of HR will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's objectives and foster a positive and productive work environment.
This individual will lead a team of 5 direct reports and will be instrumental in ensuring the effective management of payroll using ADP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's overall objectives and promote employee engagement, retention, and development.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, in a fair and consistent manner.
- Partner with plant managers and other key stakeholders to address workforce planning and staffing needs to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the administration of payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management and proactively recommend changes or enhancements to HR policies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly related to manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience overseeing payroll administration using ADP or similar payroll software.
- SHRM certification preferred.
