Responsibilities:

Support Memory Care Residents:

  • Create and maintain a joyful atmosphere for residents with dementia.
  • Develop, organize, and lead daily programs for the Memory Care neighborhood, ensuring consistent implementation 24/7.
  • Work with the wellness team to assess resident preferences and histories, crafting personalized service and program plans.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to managing challenging behaviors among residents.
  • Design monthly calendars based on proven Memory Care best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Care Coordination Director to keep residents and families informed on status updates and changes.

Lead Memory Care Neighborhood:

  • Manage the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members.
  • Ensure all Memory Care program employees undergo necessary training and orientation.
  • Guide and educate staff on the community's care philosophy through hands-on demonstration.
  • Conduct regular dementia in-service training and maintain records of staff completion.
  • Delegate programming tasks when needed and uphold Quality Enhancement guidelines.
  • Continuous improvement of Memory Care services through problem-solving and program enhancements.

Support Community:

  • Participate in sales activities, conduct tours, and engage with potential residents and families.
  • Maintain accurate information management and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Promote a favorable image of Atria by supporting hospitality, leasing, and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with the Care Coordination Director on clinical matters and community ties.
  • Engage in Resident Needs Reviews and provide training to assisted living staff.
  • Attend necessary training sessions and provide training to employees.
  • Drive to various destinations as needed.
  • Carry out additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, such as social services or therapeutic recreation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in dementia care and activity program facilitation, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Knowledgeable about dementia-related changes and adaptive strategies.
  • Experience in supervising staff and conducting family support programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with driving standards.
  • Meeting Atria's Motor Vehicle Policy requirements.
