Washington, United States Applied Research Associates (ARA) Full time

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking energetic and experienced Program Team / Site Lead with backgrounds in supporting the Government in the planning and execution of large technology programs. Specifically, we are seeking a site leader to lead local activities supporting the development of a multi-component system comprising space, land, air, and naval surface warfare, electronic warfare, tactical intelligence, and special operations components. The successful applicant for this contingent position will support the DoD in the National Capital Region.

This requires a candidate with extensive background and experience performing a variety of program leadership and coordination functions, including:

  • Lead and manage ARA’s contract which includes overseeing cost, schedule, performance, and staff
  • Coordination of team activities and schedules, managing client deliverables, and ensuring customer success on a daily basis
  • Representing the ARA contractor team on-site

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with management training courses, from an accredited institution
  • At least 15 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in planning, developing, and executing major research, engineering, and development efforts for defense organizations
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have a current and active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
  • At least 15 years of experience in establishing strong working relationships similar to OUSD(R&E); within the federal government; with multifaceted research and engineering PMs, staff, and organization leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and excellent time management skills

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in any discipline with management training courses, from an accredited institution
  • Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense and/or DARPA

This position is contingent upon award of a contract (one base year + four option years) expected in September/October 2024 supporting the Department of Defense.
