Amentum is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support our Naval customers at NSWC Dahlgren.

You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference.

Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. The ability to take direction and operate independently, as well as participate in team environments, is necessary for this support effort. While under COVID, remote support is maximized, but you must be available to report to Dahlgren as needed to supplement telecommuting. Desired experience in Configuration Management process and procedures to identify, document, and control the functional and physical characteristics of a software configuration item.

Configuration Management Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the program managing and distributing program data.

  • Utilizing the program’s Configuration Management (CM) database and tools (SharePoint, Jira, and Microsoft Office) to track deliverables through all stages of receipt and delivery.

  • Maintaining and update program calendars and schedules to include planned test evets, reviews, technical meetings, and computer program deliveries.

  • Coordinating and executing the movement of data and material including preparation of documentation (transmittals, DD1149s, and critical mission memos). Uploading/downloading of data from/to multiple networks or hard drives to facilitate the shipment and receipt of materials and media

  • Picking-up and delivering of materials classified materials from the mail room.

  • Supporting the program in the purchasing of materials and equipment

  • Preparing documentation (Quotes, purchase request forms, IPTRs, etc.)

  • Tracking the status of procurements

  • Maintaining the current database of GFE. (Physical and electronic inventory)

  • Producing and maintaining SOPs for data management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate plus 5 years of job-related experience.

  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, project, Access and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the shipping, receiving and tracking of test equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain General Operating Procedures for land-based test sites to assure cover to all current and planned future users.

  • Demonstrated ability to tailor site and system-specific safety procedures for land-based test site.

  • Demonstrated ability to support Test Site and Laboratory Operations to include tracking system calibration, property/inventory management, and DRMO of excess equipment.

  • 6Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain program calendars and schedules, to include planned test events, reviews, technical meetings, and computer program deliveries.

  • Demonstrated ability assisting in the preparation of documentation required to support the purchase of materials and/or equipment.
