Join SimVentions, a recognized leader in the defense sector, as a Configuration Management Specialist. This role is essential in supporting our Department of Defense clients by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of software and documentation baselines.

Location:
Hybrid telework options available

Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible for Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is mandatory)

Experience Level:
Mid-level, with one opening available

Funding Status:
Fully funded

Compensation:
Salary range between $70,000 - $95,000, based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a robust Configuration Management (CM) system to manage documentation and software baselines.
2. Implement CM processes to identify, document, and control the characteristics of configuration items.
3. Utilize Military Handbook 61B and ANSI/EIA-649-C as guidelines for lifecycle configuration control.
4. Enhance and maintain multiple datasets, ensuring their consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
5. Operate within a database environment, generating and formatting reports as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. U.S. Citizenship is required.
2. 3-5 years of experience in Configuration Management processes and CCB support.
3. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and database management.
4. Proficient in documentation management and change reporting using tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
5. Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical editing and document formatting.
6. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
7. Effective communication and writing abilities.

Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center operations.
2. Background in editing DoD documentation.
3. Proficiency in MS SharePoint.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Travel Requirements:
None expected.
