Position Overview:
SimVentions, recognized as one of Virginia's premier workplaces, is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist with expertise in Technical Documentation. This role is essential in supporting our Department of Defense clientele by establishing and sustaining a Configuration Management system to oversee software and documentation baselines critical to the mission.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Configuration Management (CM) processes to accurately identify, document, and control the characteristics of configuration items.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense Instructions and lifecycle configuration control.
- Utilize CM tracking tools to document, control, and audit changes to systems, guided by Military Handbook 61B and ANSI/EIA-649-C standards.
- Manage data development, enhancement, and maintenance across multiple datasets, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
- Operate within a database environment, generating and formatting reports, and managing data repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint.

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of experience in Configuration Management processes and CCB support, including requirements traceability and Agile methodologies.
- Proficient in managing classified and unclassified media.
- Demonstrated experience in documentation, change report handling, and accountability using CM tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Minimum of 2 years in technical editing and document formatting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent multi-tasking and organizational capabilities.
- Effective writing and communication skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with command operations at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).
- Experience in editing and formatting DoD documentation.
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint.

Education:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Clearance Requirements:
- Eligibility for a Secret Clearance is essential for this role. Candidates may undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Compensation:
Salary is determined by various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, and alignment with corporate compensation plans. The projected annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 (USD).
