We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a Private Equity backed company in the Raleigh area.  In this role, you will play a key role in month end close, overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy  of the results reported.   Salary to $140K plus bonus and a nice work balance.  This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.  You and your team will also be tasked with several account reconciliations
  • Oversee the month end close process ensuring the accuracy of the data.  Gaining an understanding of the results in order to present them and any specific variances to management.
  • Responsible for some Technical accounting research and documentation as the business dictates as well as ensuring GAAP compliance
  • Maintain current Internal Controls and provide recommendations when opportunities arise
  • Act as the point person related to sharing financial results with Operations and other functional areas, responding to any questions from other non-Finance groups 
  • Work with Manufacturing leadership to ensure accurate inventory
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA highly preferred
  • Candidates with a public accounting background are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and exposure to technical accounting
  • Must have experience working with a large ERP system and advanced excel experience
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a growing team
